Psalm 18: 2 Good News Translation

The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe.

Some days, life presents to you great challenges packed, condensed within a day, surprise after surprise, shock upon shock, in moment like this, you have little time to reflect and think of what to do, how to react, you just live through it, moment by moment, holding dear to life and praying for mercy and grace to envelop you and divine protection to be upon you.

In the Good News Translation of Psalm 18:2, it says so well about divine protection that is held true in my life recently.

The Lord is my protector;
he is my strong fortress.
My God is my protection,
and with him I am safe.
He protects me like a shield;
he defends me and keeps me safe.

The Lord is my protector;
He watches my coming in and going out,
His eyes never leave me even when I am alone.
he is my strong fortress.
When I am given impossible tasks at the shortest timeframe,
I rely on Him to be strong and be there for me.
My God is my protection,
When I place my life in other driver's hands
He protects me still along with driver and vehicle.
and with him I am safe.
When I meet with danger and is afraid,
He keeps me safe and sound. He protects me like a shield;
When I am vulnerable and worried,
His shield is all over me and me secured. he defends me and keeps me safe.
Even when the car ski and hit the divider
He kept me safe and unharmed.
In all my days, no matter what the situation,
He gives me calm and strength to carry them through,
On 22 May 2017, I was in a taxi from KLIA to PICC, a journey of 45 minutes, half way there, my taxi skiied and the right side hit the highway divider for five seconds. There was a lot noise of metal hitting metal, skrik and followed by a quick swing to the left lane. Thankfully, there was no car on the left lane and at such high speed impact, the car did not overturn. All because of the grace of God and His protection is sure and good.

Imagine the car stuck to this divider and drove at 80-90 Km/hr for ten seconds. The car could have swung left and right and become unsteady.

This incident reminds me of Psalm 18:2 and that we do not take our safety and protection as we travel for granted. He is mighty to save, sure to protect, our stronghold, our shield.
