It has been a while since I last posted here. I have been a little more active in my Spiritual Journaling blog and, more recently, in Becoming Doria. So much has happened, but between work and major family events, journaling has taken a back seat. Now, as I approach retirement, I feel the need to pause and put some of my thoughts into words.
I am especially glad that I wrote my FIRST thoughts about retirement myself, without AI. Writing them helped me clarify what I want for this season and express my intentions as I prepare for my first retirement at 60. They have become a personal reminder of how I want to finish this chapter and begin the next.
I am certain that life after retirement will bring its own challenges and plenty of activity. There will still be much to learn, contribute and enjoy. But I want to make room for journaling along the way — to record what happens, understand what it means to me, and reflect on what truly matters at this stage of my life.
My next milestone reminder, 47 days to go !
